Next public performance
The Art of Music's first performance of the Covid era will take place in the evening of Saturday, 5 February 2022. This will be a 15- or 20-minute slot at the Anglican Arts Festival in the Konvikt Centre, Avenue Marie-Thérèse, Luxembourg City. In a departure from our usual Renaissance repertoire, we will sing music from three centuries: the 17th, 19th and 20th.
Confitemini Domino (psalm in 17th century Italian fauxbourdon style)
Crux fidelis, attributed to King John IV of Portugal, who lived in the 17th century, but in reality composed by Anon in the 19th century
Ave Maria by Franz Biebl
Also planned at some point fairly early in 2022 is a concert in memory of former Art of Music singer Alan Carlisle, in which The Art of Music and various other performers will take part.
